Voice guide terms of use

What it is. The voice guide is an AI that facilitates a Build Better session: it explains the steps, keeps time and asks the next question. It is not a person, a counsellor, a therapist or a medical, legal or financial adviser, and nothing it says is professional advice.

Who can use it. You must be 18 or over. It's included with the Build Better deck and digital access. Playmat sessions need that playmat or digital access.

Your conversations. Your voice, any photo you send, and a description of your digital card table are processed by Google's Gemini service, as set out in our privacy policy. Pondering Tree doesn't record sessions. If you ask for a summary, the session transcript is sent to Gemini to write it, and if you ask us to email it, it goes to your account email address through our email provider, Resend. We don't keep the summary or the PDF. Use first names only and don't share health details or other private information.

Safety. If anything serious comes up, the guide will stop and point you to help. In Australia, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, or 000 in an emergency. Outside Australia, call your local emergency number.

Fair use. Sessions have a time limit and there may be a daily limit. Don't use the voice guide to harass anyone, to record people without their consent, or for anything unlawful.

Availability. The voice guide relies on third-party services and may sometimes be unavailable or change. AI can make mistakes, so use your own judgement. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law aren't affected.
